IPL Skin Rejuvenation is a beautiful treatment for helping the skin look brighter, clearer and more even.
This treatment uses Intense Pulsed Light to target visible signs of sun damage, pigmentation, redness and uneven skin tone. It is often known as a photofacial, but in clinic we like to think of it as a treatment that helps bring the skin back to a clearer, healthier-looking state without needing a lot of downtime.
Unlike a traditional laser that uses one specific wavelength, IPL uses broad-spectrum light. Our system also uses Dynamic Pulse Control and Skin Contact Cooling, which allows us to customise the treatment to your skin and keep the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Pigmentation
IPL can target excess pigment in the skin, helping to soften the appearance of sun spots, age spots, freckles and uneven pigmentation.
Redness and broken capillaries
IPL can help reduce the look of redness, flushing, visible capillaries and vascular changes in the skin by targeting tiny dilated blood vessels.
Skin clarity and texture
IPL can also support collagen stimulation, helping the skin appear firmer, smoother and more refined over time. This can be helpful for overall skin quality, enlarged pores and a dull or uneven complexion.
During the treatment, most clients describe the sensation as a quick warm flick on the skin, similar to a light rubber band snap. Treatment time can vary depending on the area, but most sessions take around 20 to 60 minutes.
After treatment, pigmentation may temporarily darken and can look a little like “coffee grounds” before naturally lifting or flaking away over the following 7 to 14 days. Redness may also appear slightly more visible straight after treatment before settling.
For best results, we usually recommend a course of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced around 4 weeks apart. Your treatment plan will depend on your skin, your concerns and how your skin responds.
To maintain your results, we may recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months, along with consistent SPF and supportive home care.
